IV b –Acceleration of the healing process.

Cells require a moist environment to migrate faster across the wound bed for re-epithelialization of new tissue.
In the conventional method, a scab or the lack of vital moist retards healing because epidermal cells have to penetrate deeper into the dermis where the environment is moist. This forces the wound to heal only from the bottom up (unidirectional migration).

The moist environment of Derma GeL® will not allow the formation of a scab and will maintain cell viability to the very high rate of 97%, enabling - through multidirectional cell migration - the wound to heal from the sides and bottom.

Therefore, this multidirectional easy and fast migration of epithelial cells accelerates considerably the speed of healing, increasing wound contraction rate.
